Most boxes and cases can be printed free of charges where we hold printing blocks for customer.
Printing of your name, logo or message is done in house in a variety of coloured foils.
It is a process which compiles heats and pressure leaving a thin coating of the foil on the product being printed.
It is totally unlike ink printing, so I hope our simple explanation here will help answer your questions and leave you knowing what to expect from the process.
Adding a print to your packaging means your image is personalised and emphasised, it proves the most popular, effective and economical advertising you can choose.
Printing Block Charges
Printing on our box and case ranges is FREE, we charge a small fee for printing on our rope handled bags.
Before we can print for you we need to produce metal naming blocks, a standard set consists of 2 blocks, one 35mm and another 25mm.
We find these cover many of our boxes and cases, if you provide us with a black on white image or wording and tell us your font name, we will produce artwork for your approval and the actual blocks for a part cost of £22.00 (+ VAT), it is a genuine one off cost, we maintain or replace the blocks if they wear, free of charge.
If you require any larger sizes we can produce blocks to your own dimensions, some people feel a larger size is useful on choker boxes, bags, etc.
If you would like a third block, please state the size and we will make a standard set plus the larger for £34.00 (+ VAT), these need to be ordered all at the same time.
If a larger block is ordered at a later date, please note our charge is £25.00 (+ VAT).
Finally on our rope handled bags the prints area is governed by the space between the side and bottom gussets, the maximum being as follows:
Small Bag 90 x 125mm - 45mm wide
Large Bag 200 x 215mm - 90mm wide
Extra Large Bag 250 x 300mm - 90mm wide
Bracelet Bag 150 x 275mm - 90mm wide
Artwork Requirements
Artwork can be send by e-mail or by post. Please never fax artwork, we cannot use this.
A jpeg image should be at 600dpi, measuring approximately 90mm, black on white without shading.
Hard copy should be from a Laser printer or a printers bromide and sized at 90mm for a standard set. The artwork should be black on white without any shading. Prints from inkjet printers rarely have acceptable definition. Please ensure your artwork arrives with us in good condition without any folds or staple marks!
We always advised customer to keep their artwork as simple as possible for the best results, some fine detail which prints easily with ink is a little more difficult with foil to reproduce. Some examples are shown on this page.
Standard print colours and positions
Unless we are advised by you differently, we print in gold in the centre of the box or case satin, except on gold boxes and bags where the standard is black.
Please ensure each time you order you give us your instructions if they are different from the above.
Whilst boxes and cases are named FREE, where a second print is requested (e.g. on an outer carton) there is a small charge of 5p (+ VAT) per print.
